This tour starts from St. Gerasimos monastery located at the valley of Omala founded in 1560 from Saint Gerasimos himself. It is the most important religious monument of the island and a place of worship for thousands of visitors that come every year on religious tourism.
Second stop would be Robola Winery, founded in 1982.
We will have the chance to taste a wide variety of wines at the location where production and aging takes place. You canas well purchase a couple bottles of the "nectar of the Gods".
Next stop is Drogarati cave, an impressive cave with remarkable formations of stalactites and stalagmites. According to speleologists the cave is about 150 million years old and constitutes a rare geological phenomenon. It is about 60m deep and has a constant temperature of 18c .
After that we will visit Melissani Lake, a phenomenon of unique beauty.
This magical underground lake with turquoise waters as well as the boat ride will leave you speechless.
Stop number five will be the picturesque waterfront village of Ag Efimia, where we can find a lot of sailing boats at the marina. The village belongs to the "Natura 2000" program, therefore we can find a lot of hiking trails and paths. At this small jewel of Kefalonia, we will have the chance to taste the traditional cuisine.
Last will be Myrtos the famous beach of magnificent beauty, voted 12 times as the top beach in Greece. The most magical sunset you could dream of in your holiday album.
