The archaeological site of Olympia has been the place of worship of Ancient Greece , dedicated to Zeus the king of gods for Greeks. It is the original venue for the Olympic games. There was located the giant statue of Zeus, made by the Greek sculptor Phidias, known as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
There we will be able to visit the Archaeological museum of Olympia , one of the most important museums of Greece, that presents the long history of the most celebrated sanctuary of exhibits that goes back to prehistoric times to Roman rule, even to 6th or 7th century A.C.
